The Hub is a Canadian platform that provides news, analysis, and debate. Engaging with over two million people each month, it covers the intersection of both politics and economics through daily news and commentary, podcast episodes, newsletters, and its Youtube channel.
Uncommon Sense began working with The Hub in late 2021, initially supporting their digital advertising strategy and monetisation efforts. Since then, our role has expanded across a wide range of projects, and we are now proud to serve as their trusted first point of contact whenever a new opportunity or idea arises.
One of our largest projects with The Hub was our full strategic audit of their media strategy and ad operations. This was then followed by a complete website redesign and rebuild – supporting The Hub’s evolution within a shifting media and political landscape in both Canada and the wider West.
Recent highlight: Launching Hub AI
We recently partnered with The Hub to design and launch Hub AI, a first-of-its-kind research and discovery tool for subscribers. Hub AI allows readers to:
- Explore pre-populated questions about every article.
- Summarise stories based on their particular interests.
- Surface key stats and quotes from Hub content.
- Query for additional insights and data from across the Internet.
The result is a powerful, productivity-enhancing experience that deepens audience engagement and sets a new standard for innovation in digital media. This launch marked an exciting milestone in The Hub’s evolution – and in our ongoing collaboration to bring intelligent, user-focused tools to their readership.
In addition to these larger projects, our day-to-day services include supporting The Hub with their ongoing product strategy, design, and development across their digital platforms. This includes site optimisation, new feature builds, AI integration, advertising infrastructure, and campaign reporting.
